Sensex off highs, Nifty holds 6,000; top ten stocks in focus

The S&P BSE Sensex pared some of the morning gains of over 100 points in mid-morning trade on Friday; however, rate-sensitive stocks were still leading the rally.

Following the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also slipped from its intraday high of 6040, but the index is still holding its crucial support level of 6,000.

At 10:00 a.m.; the 30-share index pared some of the gains and was trading at 20,299.99, up 69 points or 0.35 per cent. It touched a high of 20,372.33
and a low of 20,278.51 in early trade today.

The Nifty was at 6,022.55, up 23 points or 0.40 per cent. It touched a high of 6,040.90 and a low of 6,015.65 in trade today.
